Privacy Policy

1. Scope and Local-First Principle

This Policy applies to the Iceonix macOS app, account and licensing service, and iceonix.com. Iceonix is local-first: your video, audio, images, scripts, Markdown Workspace, publishing logs, shared libraries, and local AI memory remain on your Mac, NAS, or storage provider you choose by default and are not uploaded to the Iceonix account service.

2. Data Processed by the Account Service

  • Account data: The provider identifier, verified email, and display name returned by Apple, Google, or GitHub. We do not store your third-party account password.
  • License and device data: Installation identifier, device public key and hash, device name, macOS and app versions, activation status, last activity time, and IP address. We use this to issue licenses, enforce device limits, and prevent abuse.
  • Order and subscription data: Product, amount, currency, order status, provider-generated customer, transaction or subscription identifiers, and refund, dispute, or cancellation status. Payment credentials such as full card details or Alipay passwords are handled by the payment provider and are not stored by us.
  • Verification and security records: Short-lived OAuth tickets, sessions, and API request time, path, status, IP address, and User-Agent. We use these records for sign-in, troubleshooting, rate limiting, and security auditing.

3. Data Kept Locally

Social-platform sessions remain in Safari. Account tokens and device private keys are stored in macOS Keychain or controlled local storage. Publishing assets, scripts, recordings, project files, Hermes configuration, third-party AI API keys, and shared-library locks are not sent to the Iceonix account service by default. When you choose to use an AI provider, storage provider, or publishing platform, the requested data is sent directly to that provider under its own privacy terms.

4. System Permissions

Iceonix requests Accessibility and Automation permissions when needed to read and control Safari. Recording, teleprompter, or transcription features may also request screen recording, camera, microphone, and speech recognition access. macOS controls these permissions, and you may revoke them at any time, although the related feature may stop working. Iceonix disables App Sandbox because browser automation requires cross-process access; it cannot bypass macOS privacy consent.

5. Third-Party Services

  • Apple, Google, and GitHub for optional account sign-in;
  • Stripe and Alipay for checkout, subscriptions, refunds, and payment-status synchronization;
  • Email and infrastructure providers for verification email, website hosting, API delivery, and security protection;
  • Publishing platforms, storage providers, and optional AI providers only when you choose the related feature.

We provide service providers only the information needed to operate the service. We do not sell personal data or use your creative content to train an Iceonix-owned model.

6. Retention and Security

Account and license data is generally retained while your account remains active. OAuth tickets are removed after they expire or are completed. Transaction, refund, and security records are retained as needed to perform the contract, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and comply with applicable law. We use encrypted transport, device-key verification, access controls, and least-privilege configuration, but no network or local storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

7. Your Choices and Rights

You can manage sessions and licensed devices in the app and revoke OAuth access through the relevant provider. You may request access, correction, or deletion through “Contact / Support” in the app or by emailing support@iceonix.com. We may retain transaction and audit records where required for refunds, disputes, legal obligations, or service security.

8. Children

The current version of Iceonix is not directed to children under 16. A user who has not reached the age of independent consent in their location should use the product only with a parent or guardian's knowledge and consent.

9. Changes and Contact

We will update this Policy when material changes are made to features, data processing, or applicable requirements and will publish the effective date on our website. For privacy questions or data requests, use “Contact / Support” in the app or email support@iceonix.com.
