Get started with Iceonix
Iceonix is a local-first creation and distribution workstation for Mac. Project assets, scripts, and publishing records stay on your Mac or in an optional iCloud or NAS workspace. Publishing runs through your real Safari sessions.
Requirements
- An Apple Silicon Mac
- macOS 15 or later
- Safari
- Sufficient disk space for recording and optional local AI models
Intel Macs are not supported.
Install
- Download the latest notarized DMG from the Download Center.
- Open the DMG and drag Iceonix.app into Applications.
- Start Iceonix from Applications.
- If macOS blocks the first launch, review the app under System Settings → Privacy & Security and choose Open Anyway.
Iceonix is distributed with Developer ID signing and Apple notarization. You do not need to disable macOS security features.
Complete initial setup
The setup guide can be reopened from the command palette. It helps you:
- Grant system permissions.
- Install Hermes and the CLI bridge when you need agent workflows.
- Create or connect an agent.
- Check publishing sessions under Social Platforms.
- Optionally enable iCloud / GoodTake project monitoring.
GoodTake and iCloud are optional. Iceonix can complete the Mac workflow on its own.
macOS permissions
| Permission | Used for |
|---|---|

| Screen Recording | Capturing a display, app, window, region, or iOS device |
| Microphone | Voice recording and voice cloning |

After changing Screen Recording permission, quit and reopen Iceonix. Permissions for recording, camera, microphone, and speech can be granted only when you need those features.
Sign in to your Iceonix account
Open Account & License, accept the Terms and Privacy Policy, then sign in with:
- Apple
- GitHub
Iceonix does not offer email/password registration, password login, or password recovery. The email returned by your identity provider is used only for account security, payment and refund notices, License and device events, renewal, expiry, and important service messages.
Sign in to publishing platforms
Your Iceonix account and your social platform sessions are separate. Open Social Platforms, check each target platform, and complete any required login in Safari. Platform cookies and credentials remain in Safari on your Mac and are not uploaded to the Iceonix licensing service.
Run a dry-run first
Before your first real publish, enable global dry-run in Settings. It performs login checks, upload, and form filling but skips the final publish click. Use a non-sensitive test asset to verify permissions and current platform pages.
