Record, edit, and export

Iceonix recording and editing are designed for tutorials, product demos, talking-head videos, and mobile demonstrations. A recording creates an editable .iceonixrec package.

Capture sources

  • Full or selected display
  • Selected app or window
  • Custom screen region
  • Camera picture-in-picture
  • Microphone and system audio
  • USB-connected iPhone or iPad video and device audio

The recording tools also include a teleprompter, camera styling, separate audio controls, on-screen drawing, a whiteboard, a ticker, audio meters, and privacy exclusions.

Record a short test before a long session. Confirm the selected sources, microphone level, system audio, camera framing, and synchronization.

Edit

The editor includes:

  • Timeline split, trim, undo history, and silence detection
  • AI-assisted filler-word review
  • Local or server transcription, word timing, caption editing, and SRT export
  • Auto focus, manual zoom segments, and cursor styling
  • Camera overlays, full-screen camera segments, and transitions
  • Landscape, portrait, and square reframing
  • Backgrounds, corners, shadows, click sounds, and music
  • Frame, local image, or AI-assisted covers with layered text

Always review AI edits and captions, especially for overlapping speakers, background music, accents, and specialist terms.

Export

You can export video, GIF, caption files, separated audio, and FCPXML for further editing. Export & Publish carries the rendered video into a persistent Iceonix project and opens the publishing workflow.
